I woke this morning to the wonderful 'almost silence' of no one in the house! Grand daughter returned home to her mom, son at work, spouse at a conference. What a blessing; in a busy life, with up to 5 kids in-and-out, phones ringing (3 cells and a land line), family dropping by, neighbours mowing their lawn.
Lots to do, but a day without a schedule. One of the blessings I most appreciate - to be alone with no-one 'needing'. I can write, garden, wash walls or paint, clean out the files, walk at the wetlands - fill my day in any way I choose. A rare day to just satisfy myself.
